Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the impact of visual identity on building trust among users of e-learning platforms in Saudi Arabia, and to clarify its role in supporting continuous interaction and the completion of training programs. The descriptive analytical method was adopted, and an electronic questionnaire was used as a data collection tool from a sample of (33) participants from e-learning platform users within the Kingdom. The results showed that visual identity is an important factor when choosing a training platform, as (84.4%) of the sample considered it important or very important. Furthermore, the clarity of visual identity was among the most influential factors in remembering the platform and solidifying its image among users, while ease of navigation within the platform was the most visually appealing element, at (56.3%). The results also revealed a strong positive correlation between building trust and the completion of training programs, with a correlation coefficient of (0.741). Regression analysis results indicated that building trust contributes (54.9%) to motivating trainees to complete their training programs, which enhances their continuity and interaction within the platform and ensures full benefit from the training content. The study recommended the necessity of focusing on designing a clear and consistent visual identity for e-learning platforms, with an emphasis on user interface simplicity, ease of navigation, and consideration of consistency among visual elements such as colors, fonts, and graphics; this enhances user trust and supports the quality of their training experience, in alignment with digital transformation objectives and Saudi Vision 2030. The study also recommended conducting periodic user experience (UX) tests to ensure the suitability of graphic design and user interface (UX/UI) design for beneficiaries’ needs. Furthermore, it recommended that e-learning platform developers and designers utilize the study’s findings when developing visual identities and digital interfaces, thereby contributing to raising the quality of the e-learning experience and supporting digital transformation trends.
